Who we can accommodate at the Campus

We have space available for the following types of organisations:

  • Knowledge industries – organisations with a focus on information and technology;
  • Technology and life sciences businesses delivering innovation and research;
  • Organisations with high growth potential;
  • Organisations that would particularly benefit from increased engagement with the university sector or NHS for mutual benefit;
  • Organisations that align with and add value to our Campus Development Strategy;
  • Inward investments, where locating on the Campus will support innovation and/or secure new economic activity for our region;
  • Organisations operating in a national or international market. For those operating in a local market, the product or service must be unique.

Our ethos

Inverness Campus aims to encourage and support research, development and innovation in technology, renewables, advanced manufacturing, space and life sciences.

Our key location criteria is that your business would benefit from and bring benefit to the ‘co-innovation’ activity here, or that your company is a fit with the Green Freeport objectives. 

Examples of organisations unlikely to fit the criteria include those delivering local business services or the provision of professional services e.g. solicitors, accountants, retail and large scale industrial.

Inverness and Cromarty Green Freeport

27 acres of land included in the Inverness Campus masterplan is designated as a tax site within the Inverness and Cromarty Green Freeport.

This status allows new and innovative companies locating here to benefit from a range of tax incentives such as relief on domestic rates and land and buildings transfer tax.
